In reality, these characters are neither random, nor strangers; I gravitate to them for a reason: The images often turn out to be self-portraits that have an undercurrent of self-discovery and identity exploration.

For me, the street is a living, breathing entity: When people throw themselves into the flow of the streets, their energy shifts – sometimes visibly, sometimes subtly. Street Scenes is about unearthing this energy, often indicative of constants in the human condition that shine through regardless of the dynamics of that moment.
